My “year of expansion” has reached its zenith this month. One thing I’ve found, though, is that not only am I expanding, but my faith in myself as well as my dreams and the Universe or how ever one chooses to address that One Source of All.
In a discussion I had with one of my dear friends last week, she commented about how many changes I’ve been going through as of late. And she’s right! I have.
While I have been putting A LOT of effort in behind the scenes, acting on the opportunities I’m being presented, I cannot take 100% credit for the forward movement I’m experiencing. For me, it has been much like that scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The one in which Indiana is standing on one side of what appears to be like a huge canyon.
It’s exactly like that. Much of what I have been experiencing and continue to experience this year is a leap of faith. Because there are pieces of the puzzle – the bridge – I cannot “see” yet.
This, I believe, is one of the biggest elements of living what I’ve called a “magical” or divinely inspired life. Having faith in the Universe/God/Spirit/Source to take care of us.
Have Faith? Yeah, Right!
That can be really difficult, I know. Especially when it seems as though our life is going to crap right in front of our eyes. When we’ve seemingly been dealt a less than fabulous hand. It is really difficult to put our faith in anything outside ourselves. Especially some unseen force. I know, I’ve been there.
“How can a being that loves me allow me to be put in this situation? If I cannot depend on my creator, who can I count on? ME, and ME ALONE.”
The truth of the matter is we really have more control over it than we think or even are taught we do. But, it first begins with trusting in and partnering or co-creating with the One Source of All.
I have personally found when we really decide what we want to see in our life and focus our hearts, thoughts, and energy on it and with unwavering dedication… It can’t NOT manifest in our lives. It is the Law of Attraction.
What Are Your Goals?
But, what is it you truly desire to create in your own life? Do you know?
The first thing to do is WRITE IT DOWN. Officially make that a goal for yourself.
For instance, I’m dreaming BIG. I have a few goals that I’m working toward, myself. Long term goals, really.
A long-term goal can be defined as something that one intends to achieve in 3 months to a year. It can even be on the “5 year plan”. That’s where mine are falling right now.
Basically, what it boils down to is breaking the long-term goals down into bite-sized, seemingly manageable pieces.
You know the old saying, right? “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.”
So what is the biggest, scariest, most overwhelming goal/dream that you have for yourself? I suggest getting it clear in your mind, then sit down and break it down into bite-sized pieces. That way, it doesn’t seem so BIG and frightening.
Make sure to set dates to them!
Having a goal without a date by which to accomplish it, just leaves it lying in the realm of “someday”. Giving it a date, makes it more concrete to your mind.
Then, have faith!
In yourself and God/Spirit/Source/the Universe to make it a reality. If you do this, as Jack Canfield, the author of many books including the Chicken Soup books and Success Principles says, you “lean into it”. First take the logical steps, then with faith in your vision, each next step will reveal itself to you.
Until Next Time, Dear Friend!
