Welcome to my Virtual Hearth! I’m thrilled you’ve come by! I’m your hostess, Dawna Kreis.

I’ve been blogging (on and off) for over a decade now, and one of the things I have yet to figure out how to do “the right way” is niche.

See, my life and interests just don’t fit neatly into any one box. It’s for that reason you will find posts in several categories that encompass my spiritual life, family life, AND adventurous life.

It is my hope that you will find little nuggets of wisdom (no matter how small) that will assist you in creating an enchanted life of your own!

Hearth & Home

It was a chilly and damp day here yesterday. I don't know about you, but days like that cause us to want to hole up and seek comfort here at home. Granted, I did go out to do a few errands, but by the time I got back? I was definitely ready to hibernate. How did DW...

New Find: HOWA

DW is my research "guru". I don't have as much spare time on my hands these days, so he researches all the questions he has about what we're (happily) getting ourselves into as well as any questions I have (or might have).Recently, he had what both consider to be a...

Our Mascot: Meet Dave!

Hello, Friend! Dave the Gnome, here. We've not met yet. I'm the Official Mascot (*straightens sunglasses with a sense of importance*) of the Mystic Maunderer. I just wanted to pop in to introduce myself AND to share that the excitement is building here. Dawna and DW...

Nomads: Seeking Words of Wisdom

DW and I are still at the beginning of our RVing journey, which means we're doing a lot of planning and prep work (ie dreaming). We're narrowing down our list of RV front-runners and making a list of places to visit (see map). Then, once it cools down, we'll actually...

Question Time: Where Would You Go?

"Pop" asked me last night, "where do you want to go for our first big trip?" To be honest, I hadn't gotten that far. I LOVE the idea of going anywhere in the country (ultimately, the continent) we want to go, when we want. But I haven't yet mentally worked out the...

The Lead Up

Until we actually get the Maunderer, the blog will focus on the lead-up to getting her: the processes we go through (ie downsizing) and the discoveries we make in preparation as well as tidbits about Myrtle Beach as a "travel destination". Travel info (places to...

Allowing for new dreams

This past week, as part of my interview process for the new job, one of the questions I was asked was "if you could have any job in the world, what would it be?" To be honest, at the time, I couldn't provide an adequate answer. As I thought on it more, though, the...

Awakening: The Longest Journey of a Lifetime

It is said that the longest journey one can take is from the head to the heart. This clearly illustrates the journey one takes a spirit. It can be a long and, in many cases, a lonely journey. Maybe you can relate? Click to read more.

Embody Your Power & Change the World

When we look outside of us, there is a lot more going on than meets the eye. There is SO much more to life than we can see or even remember. Click to read more.

This week, I learned from Meghan Gilroy that she’s been pretending, and I have too! Many of us are pretending to be smaller and more fearful than we innately are. How about you?

Feeling the Feels & Clearing the Residue

Hello, beautiful Soul! A Happy Tuesday to you! I hope this finds you and yours well! Today is #TuesdayTools in the Enchanted Hearth group (formerly the Angel Wisdom Tribe), and we are discussing the need for the full and safe expression of our emotions. In addition,...

Attitude of Gratitude: It Works Magic!

At the beginning of this month, I mentioned that I was working through the book The Magic by Rhonda Byrne with one of the groups I belong to. It took us 28 days, and in that time, I learned so many ways to nurture an attitude of gratitude. And I can tell you from experience that it really does create magic in one’s life!

Breathing and Health

“Often we take breathing for granted as it happens automatically with little effort or thought on your part. Yet poor breathing habits such as deep sighs, gasps, breath-holding or taking rapid, shallow breaths are common, and can contribute to high blood pressure.

“Just taking time to inhale deeply can lower your blood pressure in less than a minute, whether or not you are on antihypertensive treatment.”

Preparing for 2019

Traditionally, for me the week between Christmas and the New (Calendar) Year is spent in preparation. I use it to get a sense of what – energetically speaking – the upcoming year might have in store for me. As well as setting goals and intentions.
